STEAM SUMMER CAMP

Kids love drones, robots and video games.

 

Museum of Future Sports (MoFS) STEAM curricula is based on the power-of-play to prepare kids for tomorrow’s workplace. Curriculum topics include drone skills, hands-on coding and game-making, robotics and creative play to get campers excited about emerging tech fields. Guest lecturers will include first responders, entertainment and athletic professionals and more.

  • Three 1-week sessions of Future Sports STEAM Camp, July 8-12, July 15-19, and July 22-26

  • Each session is 5 days, Monday through Friday, from 10am to 4pm.

  • Cost is $399 for 5 days.

Activities:

Each activity includes hands-on play, building, design, friendly competition and coding experiences.

  • DRONES - Campers learn to design, build, fly, race and compete with a wide range of drones in a 100% safe environment featuring the latest aerial technologies

  • ROBOTS - Teamwork, engineering, design are featured in MoFS robot-based games and activities which develop coding skills as well as tactile problem-solving.

  • GAMING/VIRTUAL REALITY - MoFS campers don’t just play games. They make games. Using fun and popular tools and game engines, student explore the skills, careers and technologies that are used in today’s game industry, including VR and AR.

  • CREATIVITY - Art, design and music are part of every game, sport and competition.  MoFS curriculum always includes plenty of hands-on activities to allow campers to express themselves creatively using traditional, analog and digital tools.

 

Group Size:

8-12 per group, with four groups participating in each session. Each play group rotates  throughout the day, with approximately 90 minutes in each discipline.

Hours:

10am to 4pm daily

 

Locations:

  • July 8-12 and July 15-19 at the Historic Old Mint, 88 5th St, San Francisco, CA 94103

    • Drop-off by car at the corner of Mint and Jessie Streets.

  • July 22-26 is at the new home of Museum of Future Sports, 10 S. Van Ness at Market Street in San Francisco.

    • Drop-off by car on 12th Street just off Market Street

 

Cost:

$399 per week with 10% discount for siblings.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are refunded for the full amount, less a 20% fee.  We apologize for the fees, but they help to keep our programs active. If you are able to reschedule, rather than cancel, please contact so that we can help reschedule. After June 15th refunds are 75%; after July 1st, 50% refund; after July 5th no refund will be allowed. If desired, you can apply your refund to a future STEAM camp.
